According to the relevant national regulations, urban rail transit station operation and management units, in carrying out work related to anti-terrorism prevention, are encouraged to apply new technologies and modes of security checking to carry out security checks of people and goods. In addition, "China's urban rail transit intelligent city rail development outline" also puts forward to carry out research on intelligent security inspection mode compatible with the passenger flow of urban rail transit, explore the new mode of ticket inspection and security inspection in one, comprehensively adopt advanced technology to realize the "people", "ticket", "things" and abnormal behavior of the four "people", "ticket" and "things", "object" and abnormal behavior four-in-one verification, improve operational efficiency, safety and service quality.

Based on this background, our institute is committed to building an intelligent security check system, transforming the traditional isolated security check equipment to networked intelligence, applying image recognition, big data and other technologies to realize the functions of intelligent identification of dangerous goods, remote and centralized judgement of maps, information management of equipments, graded and fast passage of passengers, and terahertz inspection in key areas. This technology has been awarded one invention patent and two utility model patents.


Technical features and advantages/innovations

(1) Implementing intelligent object inspection, based on the big data processing function of cloud storage and cloud computing of the security system, the AI algorithm quickly and intelligently identifies the X-ray images of the inspected objects, effectively assisting the mapping personnel in accurately identifying potentially hazardous materials, and reducing the labor intensity of the security personnel while improving the accuracy of identification of hazardous materials;

(2) Implementing centralized, real-time and remote mapping, through cross-site, remote and dynamic mapping task scheduling mechanism, upgrading the mode of one mapper fixedly checking X-ray film of one security checkpoint to the mode of multiple mappers dynamically checking X-ray film of multiple security checkpoints with the assistance of intelligent AI, so as to improve the utilization rate of personnel. At the same time, after remote mapping, the security checkpoints no longer set up a special seat for the mapper, saving the security check space, and setting up an additional security gate for each security check machine, improving the efficiency of passenger passage;

(3) the implementation of intelligent people inspection, upgrading the intelligent security check door, increase face recognition function, realize the key personnel accurate identification, strengthen the target of the security check; increase the location identification function of passengers carrying metal items; increase infrared temperature measurement function to realize the normalization of passenger temperature detection; key channel will be upgraded to the security door of the terahertz inspection channel, in addition to checking the metal items carried, but also to find the In addition to checking the metal items carried by passengers, it can also find the non-metallic items such as ceramics, powder, plastic, etc., which greatly improves the comprehensiveness of the security check;

(4) Constructing networked information management, realizing real-time analysis and monitoring of equipment status, security information and passenger information. We have carried out research on real-name passenger registration and classified security check, docked with the "Internet + Trusted Identity Authentication Platform" of the public security system, realized the public security system's identity audit of the registered passengers and the security assessment of the passengers, and explored the establishment of a security check mechanism for the trustworthy and safe passengers.


Applications/Scenarios

In September 2019, the demonstration stations of Guangzhou Metro Smart City Railway designed by our institute were opened in Guangzhou Tower Station and Tianhe Smart City, and the concept of "smart security check" was proposed for the first time in China. After the success of the demonstration, the whole line network smart security upgrade project was approved by the Guangzhou Development and Reform Commission in 2021, the project is designed by our institute, the existing lines of the Guangzhou Metro and all the lines opened by the end of 2023 to carry out the smart security construction work, covering the whole line network of a total of 410 stations, 1,400 security checkpoints.

Chengdu Metro, designed by our institute, also carries out the construction of intelligent passenger service platform project for the whole line network, including 287 stations of Chengdu Metro security checkpoints, gates, semi-automatic ticket machines and related station-level equipment, central platforms, testing center equipment for intelligent service design and construction. At present, the networked intelligent systematic security check has been fully rolled out in the national rail transit, Changsha, Shenzhen, Ningbo, Nanning, Xi'an and other cities designed by the Institute of the new line have been implemented on the ground.
