This technology is the intelligent operation and maintenance and intelligent safety technology of passenger transportation equipment in urban rail stations independently developed by our institute, which researches the operation status quo of escalators in urban railways and the development demand of intelligent operation and maintenance, puts forward the method of monitoring the ontology of escalator equipment, diagnosis and early warning, and the dynamic perception of passengers' hazardous behaviors, and develops the intelligent on-line monitoring and early warning system for escalators based on the technologies of machine vision, big data, cloud platform, and clustering analysis. Based on machine vision, cloud platform, clustering analysis and other technologies, an intelligent online monitoring and early warning system for escalators has been developed, which builds an active early warning, active operation and maintenance and active safety guarantee system for escalators, and solves major key technical problems such as escalator health condition assessment, life prediction and safety protection for passengers with large passenger flow. The technical achievements have been appraised by academicians and experts to be at the international leading level, 2 patents for invention and 1 utility model have been authorized, 7 softwritings have been obtained, and the company has won the China Patent Award, Science and Technology Award of Provincial Industry Association, and Science and Technology Award of Provincial Society. Technical features and advantages/innovations

(1) Research and development of intelligent early warning and safety enhancement technologies based on vibration, temperature, displacement, noise, etc. for passenger transport equipment in stations, which can realize condition monitoring of key components and early warning of deterioration trends of passenger transport equipment in stations, with a fault detection rate of >99%;

(2) R&D of passenger behavior intelligent sensing technology based on passenger transportation equipment in station under complex passenger flow environment, realizing monitoring and alarming of abnormal behaviors such as passenger flow statistics, retrograde, head and hand tipping into dangerous areas, exit congestion, falling, etc., with the visual recognition accuracy rate of >98% and the response time of ≤1 second, which can comprehensively guarantee the safety of passengers riding the elevator;

(3) R&D and construction of "intelligent operation and maintenance and full life cycle management platform for passenger transportation equipment at line network level based on cloud platform", which effectively improves the efficiency and level of operation and maintenance management of escalators in the whole line network, lays the foundation for the transformation of maintenance mode from traditional periodic repair and fault repair to more scientific condition repair, and at the same time, avoids the adverse impacts of excessive maintenance on the service life of equipment, and effectively avoids the adverse impacts of operation and maintenance resources on the service life of equipment, and effectively prevents the operation and maintenance of escalators. At the same time, it avoids the unfavorable impact of excessive maintenance on the life of the equipment and effectively avoids the waste of operation and maintenance resources.


Applications/Scenarios

The research results have been fully applied in the "13th Five-Year Plan" lines in Guangzhou, and popularized in Shenzhen, Foshan, Shaoxing, Changsha and other cities, and the opened lines are operating well. The monitoring and intelligent diagnosis of escalator key components further enhance the safety, reliability and service life of the equipment, and effectively protect public resources. The popularization and application of the technical achievements lay the foundation for realizing the transformation of traditional scheduled maintenance into on-demand maintenance, saving the investment of manpower and material resources in operation and maintenance, and avoiding the negative impact of excessive maintenance on the life of the equipment, thus effectively avoiding the waste of operation and maintenance resources. Under the existing maintenance strategy, the technical and economic index of 23% reduction in average operation and maintenance man-hours is realized, and with the change of maintenance strategy to condition-based repair, the cost of operation and maintenance manpower will be reduced by about 50%, and the cost of operation and maintenance materials and parts replacement will be reduced by about 50%.

This innovation will be applied to all escalators in rail transportation or similar public places, which can effectively improve the safety, reliability and availability of the equipment, and at the same time reduce the operation and maintenance cost of the equipment.
