On the afternoon of June 3, Ho Kah Wah, General Manager of MTR Corporation's Mainland China Property Division, and Yim Cheuk Fung, General Development Manager of South China Property Business, visited the design institute for an in-depth exchange on Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) initiatives. The meeting was attended by Lei Zhenyu, General Manager of the design institute, Zheng Xiang, Head of the Overseas Business Department, and Tai Huifang, a key business representative.

MTR Corporation brings extensive global experience and a track record of successful TOD projects. The exchange aimed to explore collaboration opportunities in TOD initiatives, share expertise and technologies, and jointly promote sustainable urban development.
During the meeting, both parties presented their achievements in overseas projects and future plans. Lei Zhenyu showcased the design institute’s innovative practices and accomplishments in TOD projects, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration. Representatives from MTR Corporation, Ho Kah Wah and Yim Cheuk Fung, shared insights and experiences from projects in Mainland China and Southeast Asia, expressing their expectation to strengthen cooperation with the design institute in these regions to achieve resource sharing and complementary advantages.
The design institute and MTR Corporation have maintained close communication and collaboration in the rail transit sector over the long term. This exchange further solidified the foundation for their cooperation in the TOD field. Moving forward, the two parties will enhance technical sharing and project collaboration in regions such as Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Southeast Asia, jointly exploring innovative models to contribute to high-quality urban development.
